Juniper - Platinum Mastercard

Does anyone have this card?  How pleased are you with it? How generous are they usually with CLs?    I received a pre-approved offer in the mail for a Juniper Platinum Mastercard @ 7.99% on balance transfers and purchases.

Thanks,
SandyK

And some people hate Junny, whilst others (including me) have had no problems with them  (probably the accent, as Barclay's is British  Smiley Very Happy)
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

Hi Sandy,

I just received this offer yesterday, though it was for 8.99% fixed. While the interest rate is attractive, I apped with them late last year and was denied. Don't know that I am willing to risk being denied again. My scores are about 30-40 points higher, but still. Decisions, decisions!

Hi islandchild82!

I haven't applied with Juniper before even though I received an application from them last year also.    At that time I read so many negative comments about them, I  decided not to apply.  However, I am now looking for a low fixed rate card just for my purchases only; (no balance transfers), that I can PIF every month.   Should I have to carry a balance the APR  wouldn't be outrageously high either.

I really don't like the idea of them pulling all 3 credit reports though.  3 hard pulls sounds like what Capital One does.  I agree decisions, decisions, decisions!!  LOL  Smiley Indifferent

Same on mine, although it's not the same card. (Mine's the Barnes and Noble MC.)

My CL is hilariously low, but I'm delighted with the easy-to-navigate website, ease of paying, and general customer service. The CL is low because I was deemed to have plenty of existing credit elsewhere, which is true.

In terms of the amount we use our B&N card, we would be quite content with your CL instead of one 30 times as high  Smiley Very Happy  Just paid our highest ever bill, and it did not reach 3 figures

Re: Juniper - Platinum Mastercard

Great fixed APR, no AF - I closed mine and combined the CL with my Seamiles.

Many people get apporved with a low 600 TU score- and the CL will reflect with your income and score.

It doesn't really perturb me any more. (Got over the jealousy! Smiley Very Happy ) I just regard it as a store card, because that's where the really good rewards come anyway.
