Just PCd Discover It Chrome Secured to regular It

Wasnt digging the 2% on gas and restaurants, so i tried to PC from chrome to the rotating categories through chat and it was succesful.. here is the chat from my session.

Also met my $1,000 cap on 2% rewards in about 6 weeks so it wasn't practical for me to keep using it when I could only make $20 in using the capped rewards each quarter. With the 5% rewards it's capped at $1,500 so I'll have potential to earn $75 each quarter now.

I believe the OP simply PC'd the card from a chrome to a regular it, so basically they upgraded rewards, it is still secured though, it is not of unheard of to pc from a secured chrome to a secured it.

I also have a Discover IT secured. I believe what OP did was PC from the Discover IT Chrome to the Regular Discover It, NOT secured to unsecured. I did the exact same thing a few days ago.
