Just did a check on pulls at CreditBoards for Amex

NY State:

Card                      Transunion Experian Equifax Total

Centurion 0 1 0 1

Blue 8 10 2 20

Bofa 1 3 0 4

Simply Cash 0 0 1 1

Citi 3 0 0 3

Clear 1 0 4 5

Costco 0 0 2 2

Delta 6 15 13 34

Gold 0 3 1 4

Green 8 6 3 17

One 0 0 3 3

Platinum 1 0 0 1

Starwood 0 1 0 1

USAA 0 0 3 3

Other 2 1 1 4   30 40 33 103

So looks like I have a shot if I go for Green to get TU/Efax instead of Experian.

TU will be totally clean as of December

Efax will be totally clean plus has the $10k Partners First Card

Both will be at 1% Utilization

Hoping between that and the fact it is Green and not Blue I'll have a shot.

MUST get Amex added, it is the only way I can get my personal credit to go back to 1980 rather then 2008 (had an old account)

I tried for skymiles and green earlier on. (Denied, all wanted Experian)

I once had exp frozen and it demanded it unfrozen. I live in Brooklyn. That said, have you tried skymiles?

Interesting, just re-ran check on skymiles, broke out like this;

TU: 2

Experian: 5

Equifax: 7

If you take out the gold skymiles it breaks out;

TU: 2

Experian: 2

Equifax: 6

So skymiles might be a good way to go too. Not sure how hard it is to get however.

How does one freeze a report?

Re: Just did a check on pulls at CreditBoards for Amex

Skymiles is the easiest. People with 640 ficos and derogs dated 2+ years seem to do ok. From what I've read on 'pull db's' as well as other sites, the keys are

low util

2+ year derog

not too many recent inqs

1+ year history showing

It's listed along with green as the easiest. I'd wager skymiles is the best intro card for Amex as the requirements are not as strict as blue/clear/platinum/starwood

To freeze a credit report (I think it's free to do so, pay to unfreeze) just go to the cra website and look for the option. For Exp, it should be near the bottom columns on the website IIRC.

If you freeze a report, they will just insist you unfreeze it, so why do you want to do this?

They can see you have applied and were denied while using EX, so, I wouldn't bother trying to get over on them that way.

I have never heard of amex checking anything other than EX, unless it's a 2nd pull.

Correct. They demand EX.

Is your derog < 2 years old from the 'date reported'?

Well no it is 'reported' as of last december since that is when i dispute.  'coincidentally' that is also the date they stopped adding 90+ day lates on the 5 year old Charge-off.

Try this;

(link removed)

you might need an account but you'll see plenty of TU/Efax pulls. Skymiles seems the best bet for that.

I am going to wait until the end of year to re-apply, derog from TU/EFax will be gone, hopefully I' can dispute/pay the Bally off Experian, and accounts will have aged at least a bit.

Then I'll go for Skymiles and/or Green.  I think I'll do so online and see if I can explain my goal; re-establish relationship/credit with them even if it is low-limit charge/credit.

eta: it's ok to refer to the existence of "dark side" credit forums, but we can't post links to them, or cite them as sources of info on unethical credit repair. Doing so could make FICO fall into the category of a Credit Repair Organization, with all the legal hassles that involves.

As always, Google is your friend.
