Will it result in a HP?
I haven't encountered the box yet, but it appears that way. I'm waiting for it to show up on my Overstock account. I stopped receiving monthly luv back in March. The denial letters for each attempt to get luv state this "unable to verify credit history", "limited credit experience" WTH?. My reports are frozen again, but they were frozen back when I was getting CLIs from them. I guess they want to HP me now. Not gonna happen.

If they do a HP, it wouldn't surprise me. Out of all my Comenity cards that give me denials for cl's, J. Crew is the only one where in their letter they go into more details about how other things are my credit report had something to do with their decision. Where as my other Comenity accounts, if denied a cl, will state it being due to me just recently receiving a cl or that my account is fairly new and they want to see me establish a payment history with them.
A couple of weeks ago, I received HPs for both my Loft and VS CLI requests. I did not get the check box and had no idea that they would do a HP for hitting the luv button.

ouch...If I ever get that button i will simply quit on my JCREW card as that is my only store card and already above 5k. I think it has to do with the more of their cards you have and how much you push the buttton, although I could be completely wrong if / when that check box comes up.. I simply keep my reports frozen thus no accidental mistakes happen

probably cause you are at max inquireies on your EQ report so you can't see more than X amt ... Although you have been good lately and haven't applied for anything that I have seen lately have you ?
I noticed a few months ago, when I opened a few accounts via the SCT with Comenity, I would set up the account, then hit the LUV button to see if I could get a quick increase. While I was in the process of doing that I got an alert that a HP had occured by Comenity. I repeated that for 3 more accounts, same results. I guess if they don't get a HP with the SCT, they wait until you ask for an increase, at least via the LUV button, to get it. I don't use the LUV button anymore for Comenity accounts, except for Overstock, which I haven't noticed doing that.

You could be onto something there for sure. I got the pop-ups when I got both my Loft and my VS, so they only did SPs. I never considered that to be a reason. I was surprised when I got HPs for both my CLI requests last week, but that makes sense now.
No button like that and no alerts yet.
