Re: Just learned the downside of Signature Cards. Ugh!

Thanks much for all the input on this. Seems the consenus is that the card will report and that's awesome. They're all very new - just 3 weeks or so - so I'm only going by my Credit Karma acct. not being able to match my online accts. to their respective credit reportings but I imagine that's only because they're so new they haven't reported yet. My new Barclays Arrival is reporting but I'm waiting on the 4 I mentioned plus Discover and AMEX Blue Cash. Hopefully it's just a matter of them not appearing yet.

I was going of off a lot of info I read online but, again, the consensus is that that was out-of-date information.

Thanks again, it's been a great help.

Discover and AMEX are not the fastest reporting companies.  Received my Discover it, AMEX Gold Delta Skymiles, and AMEX Platinum in February and just received an alert that they began reporting yesterday.  Typically, a full billing cycle must complete for them to report.

So...being new to this whole credit monitoring thing and having successfully doen so AND been rewarded with some really quality cards the past month, I just learned abotu the downside of "Visa Signature" and "World Mastercard" cards. They don't report the credit limit and so don't figure into utilization.

There are some that do not but all my Signatures and Worlds report.

You should be able to match them and you can re-label them on CK once you do figure out which card is which.

...and TU isn't the fastest CRA to update either.

My experience is with five Visa Signature Cards, one World Master Card and one World Elite Master Card. All of them report a CL as a flexible spending card and do factor into determining my utilization just fine.
