Good Morning FICO friends, I just pilled the trigger on a Citi "Forward" Card. I guess I was getting all excited about reading all the posts on the CLI's and approvals so I said what the heck I only have 2 inquires on my report one last year and one this year from CAP1 (was approved). So I went in with both feet. But I didn't get an instant approval. I got this dreaded message.
"Thank you (XXXXXX) . We have received your application and further processing is required at this time. We will contact you within a week via email regarding our decision. Thank you for requesting a Citi Forward® Card."
So, now what should I think about this? One side of me is saying at least it wasn't a flat at "DENIAL" but the other part of me is disappointed and confused on what further processing means. Anyone with previous experience PLEASE help me with this curiosity.
Thanks
I HATE it when that happens...LOL. Honestly it could be any number of things. Citi seems to rely heavily on their computerized approval system to process apps and if something doesn't match up it'll kick for a manual review. It could be info thats on your app compared to what's on the CR not matching up. I wouldn't worry about it. You can always call them on Monday to speak to an analyst to see what the issue is if you don't get answer before hand. But getting through the weekend is going to be tough..LOL
I Got the same message and I was approved. Good Luck
I got the same message and was declined but I had no open card at the time.
I have a few open accounts. I have a CAP1 for about 6 months "PAID AS AGREED" then I an authorized user on my fiancé's AMEX green since 2008 "PAID AS AGREED" and a Macy's. I have had some baddies but the last one was over 4 years ago. By balances are low and my over all utilization is 21%. I would love to get a Citi Card then I would have 3 Prime cards and them I'll be done until I can get into the next tier level off cards.
