Just to triple check... Citi combining?

I can't apply for a new Citi Card and move the CL from an existing Citi Card (partial or full) to the new citi card like with Chase and BofA right?

Hmm. I thought I saw a thread on here saying that you definitely can't do that with their co-branded cards.  Not sure about Citi's own CC though.

From Chat just now (which doesn't make sense to me!)

• ME: If I were to open up a Citi Diamond Preferred could I move some of the Credit Line from my current account to the new account?
• Citi: I would like to inform that there is no option to transfer credit line between different cards.
• ME: Even Personal to Personal and when they are not Co-branded?
• Citi: "cardmember", there is no option to transfer credit line between any kind of cards, the credit line is decided according to the credit score you've at the time of opening the account.

I would think it wouldn't be possible, since it's verrrry hard to combine limits at all with Citi. So many stipulations and you have to find the right CSR, etc.

i too wanted to combine limits of Diamond Preferred and Simplicity - they wouldn't do it

That sucks i was thinking of calling them and see if i can move $1k from my Thank you card and move it to my Simplicity card to make both $3k
