No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Many of us would like the highest credit line that we can get but... does there come a point when the CC company can't really justify giving one. Not because of income. Mainly because of useage. For example, you might have a $10k CL but only use about $1k per month. Do they look at it like why increase it when your not even using half of what you currently have?
Depends on the bank I think. Eventually, yes, I'm sure that's a reason not to extend any more credit.
I know Capital one has denied me a CLI before due to lack of usage on their card. But then eventually they gave me a CLI anyway. *shrug*
Most of the SP CLI banks have given me increases with very little usage.
Thou I think I'm more likely to be denied CLI for total, overall CL, extended across all banks than not enough usage on one card.

CapitalOne has been giving me that excuse.

How is Chase in giving out CLIs when you run relatively low balances compares to the CL?
Nonexistent. You need to push a lot of money through Chase cards to get an auto-CLI.
Jeez....
I've only been pushing 1100 out of 13k on the CSP.
4th statement hit coming up in a little over a week. I'm betting on autolove.

So let's say I was pushing 60% of my CL and PIF.. Enough?
Possibly even higher and making multiple payments throughout the month for better chances.

For Chase I have applied a different strategy myself. The only time I tried to get a CLI on my Freedom I got hit with a double pull on EX/EQ and all they gave me was 500$ So I decided to go for a new account and got 16K and simply moved over 1K to the Freedom. This example showed me that I would rather take a new card (Chase has soooo many nice and useful cards) rather than trying to get a baby CLI for a double pull. For me definitely new accounts get better results with Chase.

Well then! If 40K/yr+ spend isn't enough then I'll take my spend back over to Discover and try for a premium plus once the wife's CSP minimum spend is met.
