I got a KeyBank card a couple years ago. I cold app'ed and the verification process was mind-numbing - everything short of the kitchen sink. They eventually approved for $10k where it remains today. At the time it was about 20% over my average limit card. Their pre-approvals are solid though and they occassionally send BT checks and offer points bonuses periodically for hitting $500 spend in a month.
