Is that the Gold card after spending like $500 or something?

I really don't think that has anything to do with a CLI, however if you have had the card for 6 months, you could just request an increase.

Re: Kohl's MVC

No, they don't give CLIs when becoming an MVC. The do have automatic increases, not sure how often, but you call in to request one they'll do a HP.

I've had them for about 3 years. Perfect history with them. Started at 300, has stayed there. Called in a couple times, they said they review from time to time, that was when it was backed by Chase. Since they were taken over by Cap 1, I called once and they said it'd be a HP. I know Cap 1 likes to HP all 3 CB's so I told them I'd just leave it. No way I'm taking a HP hit on all 3 CR's for a possible 200 or so CLI for a Kohls card.  Smiley Frustrated

My DW has a $300 CL Kohl's card too, but she's only had it about a year or so. Since the limit is so low, what we usually end up doing is charging something like $20 on the card, and putting the rest on our actual credit cards. That way we get whatever %-off promo is going on (since we 'used' the card) and get the rewards from using a real credit card.

The low CL doesn't really matter at all when you don't have to put the whole purchase on the card anyway.

Re: Kohl's MVC

Kohls will HP EFX when requesting a CLI. The minimum time is 6 months. I went from $400 to $1000.

That's kind of what I thought. I haven't bought enough in one shot to actually max the card so I figure the CL doesn't matter too much. I keep it because I shop there once in a while for the discounts (which is also why I have the card lol) and I find a lot I like on clearance LOL (I once bought around 1300 worth of mens dress clothes for around 150 after talking with the clerks about the discounts etc, they're usually really awesome young ladies), So I really can't complain, and  it kind of helps (I think) with my AAoA.

They seem to have some of the friendliest staff. Most of the time, I just have to mention some 30% off thing that came in the mail that I didn't bring with me and they take that off on top of whatever discount or sale price going on at the time. I think a lot of it might be that at times they must overstock on the mens 32-33" waist dress pants 44-46R sport coat\blazers as well as fitted\tapered dress shirts (I've found sizes there to be approximate as I have fit ok into some 42R's and other times it feels like the back would split if I reached for something, so always try the stuff on).

Not sure if I'm lucky about picking what days I shop for such stuff, but whenever I look for dress or biz casual clothes on sale I'm always impressed on how nice and attentive the staff is, even at Kolhs, which is far from being a high end men's clothing store.
