I just got an email that my Kohls card is being switched to a Kohl's Capital One Visa card starting in September. Has anyone else gotten this? My husband has his own Kohls card and did not get this email. Can someone tell me why I got one and he didnt? I am super confused and I absolutely despise Capital One so am not really happy about this. Are people who arent getting this email having their Kohls accounts closed?
There was some recent (ish ) discussion about this in this thread

I wonder if it's usage related? Do you use your card more than your husband uses his? My wife has a Kohls card that hasn't been used in a while and hasn't heard anything.

Your regular Kohl's Card has been issued by Capital One card since 2011, you just didn't know it.
I received my email today that my Kohl's card will be converted to a Visa card. These changes will take effect on September 13, 2024. I wonder if my credit limit will increase or leave it at the store card maximum of $3,000.
I got the same email as well today

This really irks me, since I haven't gotten an email (yet?).
They started doing this conversion last year and I had no clue until maybe January.
I called in and asked if my card could be upgraded, and they told me no, but don't worry, I probably would be later this year when they convert several million more people to the Visa.
So now they're doing it again and again no invite for me.
Hopefully the emails are going out in waves and I'll still be included.

You might, because the Visa version has a much higher limit than the store card.
Another reason why I'd love to get the Visa version, since I've been stuck at 3k for years.
I think the conversation to a visa is considered an upgrade.
Congratulations!
Now, if they converted your Kohls kapitol 1ne to a walmart, you might complain. Would probably be more useful to me... I only go to Kohls to return Amazon stuff.
