So I wanted to write a post about lowe credit card limit increase. I have had a Lowes cc since 2012, limit of $5000 and recently asked for a credit limit increase in Dec 2015 and was denid. I have never paid late and originally started with a $500 cl. I took advantage of there 18 mth no interes because i bought a new house in July 2014, I charged $5000 and paid it off within 5 mths and then charged another $5000 in Dec 2014 and have been paying it off over the last 12 mths. I actually just paid it all of on the 8th of January. On the denial letter they reported a 680 beacon score and the reasons they declined me were completely bogus.
Used to much of your credit limit in the last 6 mths
Percentage of times with no purchase activity over last 12 months on this account
Percentage of times the payment was greater than the amount due over last 12 months on this account
Amount of payments compared to balance over the last 12 months on this account was to low
This is a bogus denial. First of all I have used this card several times over the last 4 years. The two large purchases are the only two balances I ever carried one for 5 mths and another for 12 mths. How can they say I used "to much of my credit limit in (the last 6 mths)" and "% of times with no purchase activity in 12 mths"? These two contraindicate each other, how rediculous. I shouldnt have to buy **bleep** every month to get a cli, when one whopping purchase of $5000 is just as good. Why do they offer you 18 month financing at 0 percent if they are going to penalize you for carrying a balance? "The percentage of time the payment was more thant the amount due over the last 12 mths" and then say "the payments compared to the balance over 12 mths is to low"? These two also contraindicate each other as well, if I paid off 5,000 over the past 12 mths thats way more than the minimum amount due. Its obvious your payment will be lesss than the balance you fffffing morons. This company is useless and there underwriting department sucks. They are good for planting seeds, but god forbid you actually use them. I know ive charged at least 25-30 on this card over 4 years. Ive bought 2 homes in the past 5 years, and used this card for the 5% discount. So I have shown great repayment history and only carried these two balances. Any bank can deny you credit at any time for any reason, but please dont send stupid **bleep** like this to consumers. They are better off just saying DENIED...Im done with them dont get this card.
Did you request the CLI online, or did you call the Credit Solutions Line (which is what you should do)?

I'm sorry you're having problems getting a CLI with Lowe's... when you requested your CLI, did you call the number on the back of the card, or Credit Solutions? There are many threads on this site where people tell of being denied on chat or by a CSR, but calling Credit Solutions (sometimes the same day) yields very different results.
I also agree that the results on your letters are bogus... many folks (including myself) have received substantial CLIs on Lowe's with very little usage. I suspect those reasons are more 'default' reasons churned out by the computer than based on anything factual.
If you haven't already, give Credit Solutions a call. It's only a SP, and many people here have good things to say about them.
If you didnt I would call because online they always denied me but when I would call they would approve me. Your denial does seem bogus unless they want you to have more time at that credit limit or maybe what they probably really wanted to say was you are denied because we are not making any money off of you lol.
