I went to log in to my Lane Bryant account to see if a payment had posted yet, when I saw a message at the login screen stating that effective January 24, 2010 my account will transition to WFNNB. WFNNB originally had my account before it was taken over by Spirit of America Back circa 2008. Now it is reverting back to WFNNB?
I'm curious as to how this will affect my credit report? When Lane Bryant switched to SofA, it generated a new TL on my report which has the same original open date on my card. With the switchback, will it open a third TL, or will it pick up on the old (closed) account?
Do you still have the old tradeline from WFNNB reporting but with a zero balance? Did you get a new account number when Spirit of America bank took over the Lane Bryant cards? If so I would bet you get a new account number and a new tradeline
That is what happened to me when Providian was bought out or whatever happened to them and Wamu issued me a new account number and then it was closed out totally as a no longer offered product when Chase got Wamu.
Yep, the old WFNNB TL is reporting with a zero balance, and I did get a new account number when SofA took over. Will it look bad on my credit reports (no baddies on any of these TLs)?
Thanks!
