I just moved the CL from my Marriott to my Amazon card and closed the Marriott card. Only kept it around for the free night. But now since I have IHG and AMEX Aspire, I get two free nights at other hotels. The rest is just too much match to deal with to eek out anything beneficial keeping the card.

None of the other cards I can find have announced their post-August earning, but enter the Emirates NDB SPG World MasterCard which as of August will earn 6 points for Starriott-Carlton and 3 points for all other purchases - in other words, exactly what we currently enjoy. No AF that I can decipher, but there is a 1500 AED (~$400 US) Joining Fee. The signup bonus is currently 35,000 Starpoints after paying the Joining Fee and an additional 25,000 Starpoints after spending 10,000 USD in the first 3 billing cycles. - 180,000 Marriott points!!!
Unfortunately, one does need a UAE ID in order to apply, among other stringent factors.

Tell me you're applying for it! ![]()

I might do this with my SPG card when my AF comes around next March. I already have the Chase Hyatt that gives me a free night for 20$ cheaper.
