Legal date for CC's to send decline letters

I know that according to the law, creditors must send you a letter if you are denied credit, stating the reasons for denial, and which CRS's they pulled. How long do they have to send these letters?

I only ask because there are some pulls over 1 month old that I haven't gotten letters for yet, some are CC pulls, and some are auto loan pulls.

Thanks!

I looked in the FCRA and it didn't give a timeline for a decision. You could always do the phone route.

Don't care about calling them. These are declines, but I need to know the legal requirements for sending the letters.

Also, there are a bunch of INQ's I can't identify. I need to know by when those people are required to send letters so I can identify who they are and why they pulled my credit.

If it was a collector trying to collect on a credit-related account, they legally don't have to send you a letter.  They may just be checking up on you to see if you are ripe for legal action or not.  If they see that your credit is improving, they may assume you have the ability to pay now and you may get harrassed for payment again.  If not, they may wait or try legal action.  Do you have any baddies?

Re: Legal date for CC's to send decline letters

Let me clarify a bit w/a cut/paste.

Not all of these are collectors. (note that HSBC auto appears twice on the same day and COAF appears 2x in 3 days.) I assume that some of these were shotgunned when I was car shopping, but I have heard NOTHING from most of these, and I only went to 1 dealer. Very few of these have a signed app from me, and I have gotten even fewer letters.

There is a requirement for those with permissible purpose to mail reasons & who they pulled, correct? So how long do they have? Some of these are over 30 days.

Italics=I can't I.D them, or didn't app w/them
Bold=no letter
