This is for Creditaddict. You mentioned you opened 12 new cards recently, I thought that was a bad thing? I'm confused since your scores are good? I'm a newbie here and the more I read the more I get confused. I see Ron1 is popular, and he has over 200 cards and counting. How many points are taken off for a HP? Are some of your 12 SP's?

Score is more than just inquiries and number of cards.
If it wasn't, CA and Ron would have negative scores.
Thanks, it's just much info to take in and confusing at times.
So if you are declined by the computer, you have a change at talking to someone in the back door?
I was approved for this card when I leased a Lexus last year. My ex fico was around 690 at the time had about 15+ inquires. My starting CL was only $2k at the time I had several credit cards with over $5k limits
Congrats!!

First off, it's never just about score. Second there's isn't a fixed deduction per HP. Score impact is never just about the change itself but one's credit and how the change factors in. X inquiries can affect one person differently than for another. X could be cited as a reason for denial for one and not for the other.
