Wow... This seems overly complicated...
1. Deposit balance transfer check to your bank account at any bank.
2. Pay your cc bill that you now have a balance on.
The only tricky thing... Do they still apply payments to lowest interest first, or oldest charges? If you have the money in bank but earmarked for something else, I'd pay the balce THEN deposit balance transfer to reimburse yourself
