Hi I applied for logix last november and they did a hard inquiry then. They subsequently did inquiries on my account in December, Jan and Feb, without my applying for any credit products. I believe this was for an account review, which should have been soft inquiries.
Are they allowed to pull hard inquiries without authorization like this?
Any suggestions on how I should approach to get these subsequent inquiries removed?
Thank you
Not sure about Logix in specific but some lenders can HP for periodic account reviews. It is covered in the consumer CCA or T&C. While the great majority perform account reviews via SP, it's also known that some lenders can HP. This falls within permissible purpose and you signing the initial agreement constitues such approval.
oh wow really? didn't know that was the case. Thanks for pointing that out. That is a bit punitive when you apply for a credit product once and they can "ruin" you by continually doing hard pulls on you?

Hopefully someone who has Logix as their lender can chime in and share their experience. There are instances where some lenders (depending on the circumstances) that can convert the HPs to SPs, just depends if they're willing to do it.
Logix FCU is my bank and they have never done HP's on me other than when I actually applied for a product.
Just to update this, they did clear the additional inquiries from my CR
