WOW this is borderline discrimination/harrasment. I would write a letter to the CEO and explain how this has been the worst experience ever with any financial institution. I would go on to tell him that you will make sure all your friends,family fellow FICO members hear about this.

But yet you pay the $450 to carry their Plat Amex? I'm not sure about you but I'm my case I would not give them ONE penny of my money. You are being threated like lying criminal just for asking for their credit card. They could simple just deny you and call it a day. They just told you they think you are a liar and that you're Attorney dosent exsist? Do you still wnat to give these people $450 for a CHARGE CARD?

I wanted to see how far they would push me with this app. I think it is too far. No one in the world should be subjected to a Sub Prime Credit Card that is not even accepted at half the places like where Visa/MC would be accepted. I agree just like ddd said, they could have just denied the app and close the case. They want a letter. My atty sent the letter. Then they want to make sure Atty exists. Then they want me to send forms to get the last 2 years of tax returns. All this for what? A sub prime card with a $1000 CL? Enough is enough. They pushed me too far with this. No one in the world should be treated like this.

If they want my plat card, I'll happily give it back to them if they refund my $450 AF I already paid. I have never seen a treatment like this for a subprime credit card.

This is absolutely ridiculous!! Enough is enough! You've gone above and beyond in trying to furnish their requests. PLEASE, PLEASE write a letter of complaint relaying your experience. Let them know that this thread has garnered over 325 views, and promises to garner more in the future. Let them know that word of mouth is the most powerful advertising tool a company can use, and "word on da street ain't good"!! No person shuld be put through what you have been put through and your experience has furher tainted my opinion of Amex. I think you seek a refund for your AF, and convert you Plat to their lowest product and never use it.
