It seems as though it's been forever since I made changes by adding a new card, combining limits on other cards and it still has not reflected on my FICO. I'm losing patience because I would love to apply for an AMEX and I can't until I know the changes have posted. Plus I am a little nervous because I read on here AMEX pulls up outdated scores sometimes. Sigh. I also wanted to write Capital One EO about a CLI, but I again wanted my FICO to reflect my current significantly lower utilization from the last report.
Any words of encouragement to continue my what seems like an extensive amount of patience is appreciated.
Adding a new card doesn't always drop your FICO. Depending on how many other cards you have, your AAoA may not have been affected. And moving your total CL around by combining limits has no effect on FICO, your total CL is still the same and total utilization is the same.
Stop being patient and start paying down your balances, if you have any.
Hi thanks for the advice! The main reason I am waiting is because I paid down a card that is my largest CL.
Well once I combined its limit, it became my largest limit and oldest card.

If you've recently applied for an Amex, they *may* use an old report on file for a decision.
If not, then you're certainly better served by waiting for all the changes to reflect on your Experian, especially if they're "positive" changes, such as higher CLs, lower utility, and payments made relative to balances. So, there's no rush; take your time, do it right the first time to save you the sour taste of a potential rejection or subpar CL.
I wouldn't advocate waiting indefinitely, but in this case, your reports will be updated soon enough--most likely, next month.
Thanks!! We are within days of it updating so I'm biting my nails because as soon as I see it I'm heading over to Amex!

Just make certain they're completely updated on Experian. Even then, I may wait a couple of days, just to be certain.
If memory serves, you were looking into the Delta Gold?

Make sure both EX and EQ are updated just in case your borderline to be safe before app
Good luck
Open123 Yes, that's what I'm waiting to apply for. You've been a great help! ^_^
My journey thanks, hey my FAKO updated for Experian so maybe that means the FICO for experian should be updated? I've only checked FICO for equifax so far because that should be the lowest of the three.
