Ok so I had a $1500 CL on my Macy's card. I called them up because they are having a mattress sale and 24 months of no interest! I wanted the most expensive mattress of course and my credit limit would not even come close.

Talked to the Furniture department and they increased to $4500!

So I got the mattress and 24 months no interest! WOO HOO!

I am loving my Macy's card. Oh does that qualify me for the next card level? I am so curious!

Look at which level of spending from the left column you've reached, then send a secure message from your account web page asking for the corresponding card. My wife has spent over 500, so I had her send a message asking for an upgrade to the Gold. They sent it right away. Otherwise, they'll wait until your account anniversary to change your card.

I have been wanting that Mattress for a long time! We seriously have been on the same mattress for 10 years, and it was a cheap one. I am ready for a great night's sleep!

Congrats! Can't speak to the answer either (I'm still at Red with close to $600 in spending this year), but I was going to try the same thing as you. I too keep getting those mattress offers and wanted to act on it but am at $800 CL.

LLECS they were super friendly. The guy I spoke with was awesome! Then the mattress lady I spoke to was even more awesome.

They also had a 6 month deferred option, I said no thanks, just the no interest!

Can we deliver it on the 21st? YES!!!!!

BTW Just say no to the deferred option. It will not be eligible for the NO interest after the period is over.

Ahhh, so you basically have the option of no payments and no interest for 6 months, OR no interest for 24 months?  Is that right?

Yeah, I don't blame you.  The 24 months interest free is a no brainer.

Exactly!

I do plan to pay it off quickly. But why pay cash when my account is earning 5% interest and I can finance for 0%. I am loving that! Plus I get the bed of my dreams!

It truly is a win, win!
