Ok so I called customer service, not the back door number. Should I call them and if so what do I say?

Yes, call the backdoor number. Let them know that you recently applied for the walmart card and got the 7-10 day message, and if there were any authorization info you can provide,  ask for a recon, and let them know that you do a majority of shopping with them and would benefit from having their store card.

I tried calling and said I got the 7-10 day letter, they said it was denied and when I asked why they said I would have to wait for the letter I will try again though

Tried again they said they could not override it and that I could re apply at anytime

Sorry to hear that. What I would do now is let that capital one age for about 6 months, and reapply for the walmart card then.

Not a problem. Also, I meant let that capital one card cut 6 statements (not 6 months from approval)
