Lowest rate credit card available nationwide?

I have no idea what the lowest rate on a currently offered credit card is. I have a close family member who has a credit card with her local credit union (TruService Community) and has a 5.25% rate on her rewards platinum card; which is also her rate for balance transfers and cash advances. Barclay Ring used to be a low rate card (7-8%) that people with excellent credit could qualify for but it had no rewards or cash back structure besides a rebate that didn't show up most of the time; and it's no longer available. Simmons Bank offers a 10.25% (if you qualify) but that is the only nationwide access lowest rate card I know of, and requires you to send in proof of income and other documents for approval. Does anyone have any info on cards with rates lower than 10% that aren't intro rate only cards? I would think with the FEDs low rate that their should be some pretty low rate cards out there somewhere. Thank you in advance.

Re: Lowest rate credit card available nationwide?

There are quite a few credit unions with cards in the 7 - 8% range.

Andrews FCU has their non rewrds card at 7.99% and theit Titanium rewards at 9.49 or less.

Digital FCU has a non rewards card at 8.25%

USAA has a non rewards card at 6.9%

This is just to name a few. Most major banks are all sub-prime now and their cards are only good for rewards or 0% promotions.

Here's a thread you might enjoy from about a year ago: https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Lowest-to-highest-APR-and-cards/td-p/6203953

As a shortcut, you could just check out @galahad15's signature.

My personal favorite in this realm is very obscure. The Low Rate Visa from tiny, but non-geofenced, Dow Chemical Employees' Credit Union has a 6.9% fixed APR. No rewards, but no AF.

Re: Lowest rate credit card available nationwide?

Credit unions have the lowest rates compared to bigger banks. For example San Francisco and Space Age offer 3.20 and 3.25 respectively. There may be more out there but they're the lowest that I know of.

There are many credit unions with non-rewards, low interest, platinum cards.
