Re: Lowest to highest APR and cards

Nice lineup @Anonymous , I just looked at mine and realized I don't have as much as I thought I had if I remove the AU's, the Biz and the LOC.  Lol, I was surprised.

Re: Lowest to highest APR and cards

In my list, I forgot to mention another option.  I've noticed that Chase stopped having standing "Balance Transfer Offers" on my cards.  However, when I look at credit options on my Chase Sapphire Reserve, I see I'm preapproved for a Chase Loan for up to $25K at rates as low as 6.99%.  Pretty decent deal from Chase.  Is this something everyone is seeing with Chase or CSR or is this a targeted offer?

Re: Lowest to highest APR and cards

Haven't had BT with Chase in years nor this offer, shrug...  not a bad rate for a personal loan really.. Lightstream still my choice for best option, but respectable for chase!

Re: Lowest to highest APR and cards

@Aim_High Loan/set monthly pymts? or LOC/payments can vary? (Interest plus)  No credit check but you do end up with a new tl- loan acct, right? Seems pretty neat.

My Synovus loc is in the low 6% or it may be high 5% now.  @CreditCuriosity  I was preapproved through Lightstream (suntrust) a few months ago around 4% something.  I wish I had taken it and paid off my loc while adding a personal loan to my credit report as well.  #spilledmilk

Well now that I look more carefully, I see I have offers on four out of my five Chase personal cards.

Up to $25K on Sapphire Reserve.

Up to $25K on Freedom Unlimited.

Up to $20K on Freedom.

Up to $8K on Marriott Bonvoy Boundless.

...  So add $78K potential loans at less than 10% for me! Smiley Very Happy

Here are the Q&A remarks regarding the feature, @GApeachy .  Sounds pretty neat if you need it.   Although I've never used it, sounds similar to AMEX's Pay-Over-Time, except at a much better rate.   No Fees, no credit check.  You can use your card's remaining limit and the BT amount continues to accrue just the promotional interest while you can avoid interest fees on new charges by paying them off monthly.   Not really an open line-of-credit but better than a BT offer that typically penalizes you with higher interest if you use the card for new purchases.

  • My Chase LoanSM is a feature that allows you to borrow money from your existing card’s available credit. You’ll pay it back over a set period of time between 6 and 24 months with a fixed Annual Percentage Rate (APR) that’s lower than your standard purchase APR.
  • Unlike traditional loans, with My Chase LoanSM there’s no need for an application, credit check or a separate account to manage it. My Chase LoanSM allows you to borrow money from your existing card’s available credit. We’ll show you a single statement, and you’ll have one monthly payment due on your credit card account.
  • We don’t charge any fees for My Chase LoanSM. Other account fees, such as late payment fees, might still apply.
  • The minimum amount you can request for My Chase Loan℠ is $500. The maximum amount you can request can vary based on your monthly spending, creditworthiness and other factors. Each time you set up a new My Chase Loan℠, we'll tell you the maximum amount you can request.
  • We’ll deposit your money into the account you choose when you make a My Chase LoanSM request. Only accounts that you’ve used regularly to make payments to your credit card are eligible for your loan deposit.
  • My Chase LoanSM transactions are not eligible to earn rewards.
  • We’ll add the full amount of the loan to your credit card’s current balance. Your minimum payment due each billing cycle will automatically include the monthly payment amount for your loan.
  • There’s no need to make any separate, additional payments for your active My Chase LoanSM. You can make your payments by paying your credit card bill each month as usual. We’ll add your monthly My Chase LoanSM payment to your minimum payment due each billing cycle.
  • You can continue to make purchases using your Chase credit card as long as you have available credit to do so.
  • You can avoid owing interest on new purchases by paying the “interest saving balance” payment option each month by your due date. Keep in mind: your monthly interest saving balance won’t pay off the full amount of your My Chase LoanSM or any other flexible financing offer balances early.
  • You can pay off your My Chase LoanSM balance early without any penalties by paying your statement balance in full.
  • Pay the interest saving balance every month by your due date to avoid interest on new purchases and avoid prematurely paying off your flexible financing offer balances, such as My Chase LoanSM. This amount includes your statement balance, minus your total balance for flexible financing offers, plus your monthly payment due for all active flexible financing offers. It doesn’t include unpaid amounts you’ve disputed.
  • Here’s how interest saving balance is calculated (the numbers shown here are for illustration purposes, and don’t reflect your actual account):

Statement balance

Your current statement’s new balance, which is the total amount outstanding on your account, including all flexible financing offers, such as My Chase LoanSM

$2,400

Total balance for flexible financing offers

Total amount outstanding for all flexible financing offers, including My Chase LoanSM

- $1,000

Monthly payment due for flexible financing offers

Total amount due each month for your active flexible financing offers, including My Chase LoanSM

+ $10

Interest saving balance

Amount to pay by your due date in a given month  to avoid interest on next statement’s purchases

= $1,410
