PNC and Lowe's are my subprime cards, just in case I feel like going subprime.

PNC is far for a subprime lender Honestly that can ben said on any card on your list of lenders as they will all write with scores in mid 600's depending.. PNC's APR is certainly not a good APR that i will agree upon

Yeah, it was just a joke. Cap1 is more like a subprime card than PNC, and it's my lowest APR card.

I'm not really trying to max out my lines. Last year I had some bumped up and tried Synchrony online without success. I'm good with where they are. I lost 17,500 on my Savor this year.

Re: Lowest to highest APR and cards

I decided to play, although like some others, I don't really put a lot of stock into APR's since I PIF. My limits are already in my sig, but these are my APR's.  Barclays, AMEX, and (surprisingly) Discover are my culprits.

Re: Lowest to highest APR and cards

I have a card from FNBO ($15,000), that has a 3.25% APR (it is matched to the prime rate).

It does have a $49 AF.

I jumped all over it when they offered it (it is no longer available). In retrospect though, I bet their line of thought was that people who qualifed for the card, are very unlikely to carry a balance anyway (and I would bet they are right) so the $49 is "free" money.

I keep it for high ticket purchases/emergencies.

Re: Lowest to highest APR and cards

I don't have anything really low but may consider a Navy Platinum in the future, just in case I need to carry a significant balance for a month or two.

Navy cashRewards- 9.65

Cap1 Platinum (now w/QS Rewards)- 9.9

BBVA ClearPoints- 10.9

AmEx BCP- 12.99

Chase Freedom Unlimited (the acronym seems appropriate here)- 23.74

-The only spend Chase gets is the wifes $5 monthly prescription, assuming I feel like donating a single swipe to Chase for the month. Most of the time they get one $5 swipe every other month. Chase and I had a rocky relationship years ago. They probably got angry about me paying off my mortgage before the ink dried (they paid closing costs) after hosing me on a re-fi. I'm pretty sure they thought they had me over a barrel but apparently forgot to check my account balances in their system. That incident cost them ALL of my business as well as the closing costs. I have no idea why I bothered apping for the card in the first place. Maybe it was just to see if they were still angry.... I'd say they are.

I've seen that card and thought it was great until I saw the AF.  As you said, I don't expect to carry balances and don't think paying an AF is worth having that.  Now, if they said they'd charge you the AF and the prime if and when you started to use it, that might be better.   I have the Navy Federal Platinum at 5.99% which isn't bad at all if I needed it for emergencies and if I would be rolling it over for more than a month or two it seems I often have good BT offers on my other cards.  For example, right now I have some BT offers on Discover for 4% BT fee, so essentially 4% APR without having to open new lines of credit or pay a standing AF.  Just a different way of planning for the same contingencies.

Due to pure boredom and a need to start to get organized and get my credit cards in a spread sheet I decided to create a list of CC and APR from lowest to highest along with CL's.  I am excluding store cards such as Lowes, etc along with business cards and line of credit ploc/clos in this post.  I was really curious where my APR's stood today although certainly try not to carry a balance unless 0%.  Thought i had some more sub 10% cards, but apparently not.. Time to seek some Smiley Happy
