Every 6 months or so.  Be aware it may cost a hard.

Re: Luv Button? Citi

I did mine online a couple of weeks ago and got a $1200 CLI without a credit pull.  My account is a year old.

Re: Luv Button? Citi

Someone posted that when you're in your account, go to Manage My Account and then Credit Line Increase Request. If the form comes up with all the boxes at whatnot that you have to fill in, that's a hard. If it says submit or something basic like that, it's a soft, and you're probably already pre-approved.

J.Crew isn't Citi (wish it were) but I noticed the other day that it showed the submit option. I hit enter and poof, a CLI. With my most despised CC. I'm all conflicted now.

Wow, wish there was a trick like that with HSBC...or like AMEX - always soft.

Re: Luv Button? Citi

What haulingthescoreup wrote is very true.  A few months ago I asked for a cli online and I got a form to fill out.  Not knowing that it would cost me a hard pull I filled it out and was denied.  Just now I went online to try again and this time when I clicked on request cli it automatically told me I was getting a 1700 cli --no form to fill out--and it even stated this did not result in a hard pull.
