Macy's Cli POLICY

Can anyone confirm if macy's does a hard pull or soft pull for Cli, I went to their site and they said they may need to pull my credit report

they will tell you hp, 98% of the time they use the credit pull on file already... just do it through chat.

I've had a card with Macy's since 2012 and inquired yesterday and was informed it would be a HP from EX.  I declined.  Good Luck!

They always always tell you it's going to be a hp, 98% of the time it never is.
I have had many Macy's and Macy's visa, Macy's Amex and furniture lines and after opening have NEVER taken a hp and have requested every 3 months for a long time!

I have a Macys credit card and have received a CLI and it was a SP. Every CSR I have spoken with have advise me of and SP unless you want more than what they have approved you for, than it would be a HP. Also I believe you can request one every 4 or 6 mths.

I live chat Macy's every month for a CLI, it's never been a hard pull.

I just completed a CLI via chat and was told that the request would required a hard pull.  I'm in Houston Texas and they pull EX; I alread of 3 hps already.  "In Joy" your day...

WHen I called a 2nd time to see if I got an account they did a CLI, it was a soft pull on my report.  Might be different depending on how old the report on file is.

Oddly enough I have not made a payment since December 1st 1989 and I have 0 balance due as of December 1st.  Their photo auto system is screwy (its 1 month old account)

you pulled your credit report after you did the request and verified a HP was done?
