Macy's Recon question

I've never done a recon before.  Is there any chance if I'm turned down I can recon & get them to pull a different CR?  I'm pretty sure they pull EX & even though my score with EX & EQ are nearly identical my EQ looks better because it has less bad stuff reporting to it.

In general what is the best tact to take with a recon?  I'm not looking for a huge CL.  I would be happy with the $100 that some people get just to get a TL on my CR.  I'll go buy socks or washcloths a couple times a year or something.

Starting Scores 10/12: EQ 460 (FICO)/TU 502 (FAKO)/EX 474 (FAKO)
(7/14): EQ 572 (FICO)/TU 624 (FICO)/ EX 612 (FICO)

Current (2016): EQ 605 (FICO)/TU 657 (FICO)/EX 646 (FICO)

Re: Macy's Recon question

They did pull Ex for me and although I had no bads at the time I opened my account my score was only around 620 with 3 months of history.  They still opened me an account with the $100 limit and, after three months during which time my score improved substantially, they gave me an automatic GLI to $1000.

I don't know as far as asking them to pull a different CRA but thought that may provide some info for you at least

Re: Macy's Recon question

Thanks for the info.  My score is a few points lower than that but if they pull EX (despite the score being nearly identical to EQ) it shows judgements (paid) & I think one collection (I'm disputing). My history is pretty long though. These are not on my EQ report.  But I noticed when I app online it required me to list a major CC so I thought maybe as long as I have a major CC I could at least get the $100 starter card.  My Visa is $1,200 limit.  I also have 3 positive TL.  (car loan paid off but I don't think they report to EX, car loan that is current, & student loans I've been paying for 7 years) Well I guess I'll just see what happens.  Most seem to either get instant approval or I've heard email within a few hours approving & I got neither.

Re: Macy's Recon question
