TU also drops my (and DH's) inquiries off quite quickly - nice!!!
Yes, TU does tend to 'lose' inquiries for some reason. All of my inquiries on TU last year disappeared within a few months. I have 1 right now due to a CLI request on Barclay's Juni Biz MC....I'm hopeful it will get lost in the near future as well.
@txjohn: Got it! Thanks for the reply.
I guess you can try to contact HSBC and ask them to re report it. Then if that doesn't work within a week, contact TU. I just tried to call TU and due to weather conditions, they are closed today. I think HSBC needs to tell the bureau what to do. I doubt I will have any success with TU, but will try nonetheless.
Good luck!

I checked my TU and realize that I now have a very similar issue. BB Reward Zone MC that I got a few months ago never arrived, so they had to cancel and reissue. Well now the old account number is listed as "Lost or Stolen" and the new account no longer appears. This sucks because it's $4000 of missing available credit that is going to ding my utilization. Not sure what to do about this, as I'm certain contacting HSBC will be of no use...
I'd call HSBC. You are a current, paying customer & should have this reflect on your reports. While there is no law that any creditor "has" to report, they obviously are, by reporting the old acct w/lost card. Let them know that TU is reporting only the one, so will they please drop the other TL & post the good one instead. Both accts should have the same open date, so acct age won't be an issue or hurt you.
