Macy's... WOW WOW WOW, No wonder so much confusion on board!

I can't believe how much of the kool-aid these credit employees have drank in regards to how the credit law effects policies that they are now "Required" to do!

I will never get that hour of my life back again AND I missed Navy calling me with more important information!!

After going round and round about the policie of "it now requires hard vs soft" EVEN though yes you were granted an increase 4 months ago and it was not a hard pull (we must have had a recent report on you) Well yes because Macy's gets "Soft" updates monthly like Amex.... so the end carrot out from her is, I can tell you we will process this request just like we did with the request in Sept. ME - Well that was a soft just like it has always been with Macy's! Her: All I can say is we will process it the same way, would you like to go forward!?

LOL

I hate when they don't "shoot me straight".  Why didn't she just say that it will be a soft pull?? Stupid.

I noticed something when I called BofA for a CLI the last time. They said if you are requesting a CLI we have to get permission to access your credit report. I say ok because I really wanted a CLI and I'm willing to take the HP. I ask will this be a hard pull. She says yes sir. I say ok. She requests permission, pulls the report, asks a few questions, and then approves my request. I check a week later and tada it's a soft pull. I don't think CSR know what the hell they are talking about sometimes. To them they think that they have to pull your report so it must be a HP. Also they do a SP all the time on my account (each month I see it on my CR). They do that without permission each month so I guess when they say the need permission to pull your report they assume it's a HP since it requires your permission. Not sure but STUPID regardless

Bingo.   Honestly, many times they are misinformed and are often not properly trained, especially when it comes to the nuances of CRs and inquiries.   CSRs have a tough job, and it is usually low paying, so try not to get too frustrated....Smiley Wink

I LOVE Peggy... Last time I called Santander about receiving alert that my auto payment was coming out even though the computer showed I was a payment ahead and nothing was due until the next month.... First 3 reps had a "very tiny" issue with my first language we will say and when I said I want to double check that you are not pulling payment because nothing i due. First Rep said "ah yes I understand you have concern about payment, I can take it for you over phone... no that is not right (Click)

2nd rep... same deal slightly different response but once again about taking payment and hung up as soon as I said no. 3rd is a charm transferred me right away because she didn't understand either.... Supervisor seemed like call center back in my time zone and he looked every where and assured no payment taken, no auto payment set up etc etc.... okay thanks... BAAM 2 days later payment pulled!

In a way thought I almost rather you hang up on me then tell me something completely out of the air or tell me about laws and requirements etc. like many of our conversations with Macys have been over last couple days!

My fav though is Peggy and what does he/she say "So many lights.. pretty!?" something like that... I died.. its like the E-Trade babies.... if you are having a bad day watch one of them!

Anytime, I am on a convo with any CSR, whether its CCs, Banks, Direct TV(I will reserve comment)  They all sound like Peggy to me from the CC commercial. (in my head) I remember having one on the phone and was complaining regarding a schedule issue and I always ask " with who am I speaking"  and take note.  They keep notes, so why can't I.  The rep on the line said their name was Peggy.  My phone was on speaker, and my fiance snorted his Ice Tea.  It broke the bad attitude, and bad mood, and things seemed to go right after that.

Sometimes, you can use their confusion to your advantage if you keep a log.  This past year of rebuilding, I have so many logs/notebooks.....I look like a HORDER.

Have a great nite all......

Another thread earlier or probably this one, I forget in about 2 minutes.. it's going to be a long road to old at this rate!  Anyway the convo was about recording but I was told I cant do that unless I read a disclosure to them and I think they are trained to hang up.. anyway but a log would be a great idea... My friends think it's funny how much time I spend on the phone and the lengths that I will go to get things right... or sometimes die trying (my newly Frozen EQ!) I think I need to do that plus the back door numbers are great but every once in a while a E-mail or another number comes around and I think well when am I going to need that again... flash forward 6 months and it's like hmmm I know I had that at one point!! Thanks for tip!
