Hi Navigator
Macys visa is separate from the store card. They do not switch you. It is another tradeline. If you want the visa, they will hard pull you and you will have 2 different cards if approved.
As far as BofA, I don't know who they pull but you should see what is in your report and what is your score and check back with us to see if it is worthwhile for you to apply.
Hope this helps and keep us updated

I was wondering if my CL was $1500. Isn't it possible for me to call Macys and ask them to switch me to the Visa Macys card with a limit of $1500. Do they do a hard pull on your credit or are they willing to just switch. So I can make small purchases now and then when I need to.. Also I was debating on getting a BOA card as well. Is it best to get your ccs the same day? And have your reports pulled the same day or what? That's all just wanted to try for BOA, and then have my macys switched to a macys visa. What are your thoughts? And what does BOA use in terms of what they pull? TU? Eq?
1. No you can't switch it is a HP/ new app. and TL
2. boa: https://preapproved.bankofamerica.com/cc/SelfInquiry.aspx
will soft your EQ, and when you apply for real will probably pull EX and maybe TU in addition.
Ohhh Okay. Well I'm slightly above a 650 on all reports. between a 658-668...
I have one collection paid from a couple years back, no lates, no other baddies as you say. Should I give it a shot and apply for BOA or what?
click on the link above that was provided for you and that will check if your pre-approved for anything without taking a hard pull on your credit. BofA is pretty good about approving IF they pre-approved you.
