Macys CLI - Just want to make sure

So my sisters Macys card arrived and online access is all setup. Her limit is $600 but i noticed under the request CLI it does say "A copy of your report may be obtained" or something along those lines. I thought Macys was always a SP for an increase? Or is this a standard message for them?

I've asked for several cli's on my Macy's card through secure message (which is the method you're seeing) and chat. 2 approved and 2 or three declined. Also tried for the AMEX upgrade (declined). I've never had a hard pull other than the original pull and in fact, for me at least, it looks like they use the most recent AR to help make the decision, not a fresh soft pull. I've checked my reports soon after the increases to be sure no HP was done and noticed there wasn't even a recent soft pull.

Simply called in for a cli last week, no hard pull.  

First peron to look at account said  I needed to be transfered, something about being an internet app. Second Gal was super friendly too!  

Asked for a 3k limit but she came back an said she could only get me 800, for a 1800 new limit.  

No mention of a HP at any time, but still was concerned.  Account is only 6 months old and used twice for little stuff.

They tend to AR my EQ every couple months, cant see my sps on other bureaus.

macys recently starting hard pulling me. so it may vary.

I just asked for a cli increase yesterday girl said I had 2 options ask the system which would be a soft pull (last AR pull on credit) or a manual review hard pull. I said just system being I didn't want a hard pull and I woke up today with 2 alerts they hard pulled transunion and Experian wthhhh.. I'm on hold for a supervisor

This is for the normal store card right? I always thought they were just SPs but maybe something's changing. :/

I know the Amex version is a HP for CLIs.

Just got off the phone supervisor was rude and very blah she said first cli request was denied from experian so they tried transunion and it was approved I advised I was told it was a soft pull and never gave authorization for both she said if I want removed they have to take away the cli UGH. 2 hard pulls for a $400 cli never again..

I guess its a ymmv. as i know ive had 3 cli's on my macys card. and not a single one was a hp. all 3 were softpulls.

2 i went thru chat. 1 i called on the phone. the last one was about 3 weeks ago. i asked for 5k. they sent me email saying congrats. and gave me a whole 200dollar increase. so nice of em.

Did chat option on Friday, I asked for $800 got $200 and it was based on AR no HP for me.
