Here's one for you guys!
I closed on my new home on Friday. Obviously, I couldn't app for anything new during the mortgage process. So, I was super trigger happy Friday night after signing away our lives.
Instead of apping with my new address, I used the old. Just to skirt the fraud verification process, etc.
Will the post office forward my new credit card to me automatically?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
By the way....$10,500 SL with Disco. WooHoo!!!!
Most of my cards have recently arrived in envelopes that say not to forward. Wish I had saved some of the envelopes so I could double check the wording. It usually says something like "address service requested."
Depends on the bank, my Cap1 and Comenity cards were forwarded but Credit1 refused and I couldn't even change the address even tho they FedEx'd the card.
yes Discover will forward ur credit card but this info is based on my experience 4yrs ago when I was in similar situation as you. Things may have changed since then
I actually moved in 10 days before we closed.
UPDATE: I just called Discover. The card had not gone in the mail yet. So, I explained to them what the deal was and they simply updated my account with new address. Done deal!
Thanks everyone!
Think I might go ahead and try this with Chase!

The normal wording is 'Do not forward. Return Receipt Requested"
What this means is not to forward the letter, and if the recipient has filed a change of address form, return the letter to the sender with the recipient's new address ( usually that yellow sticker ) attached. Sender pays additional postage for this service
