Tried to search and wasn't too successful. Hoping I can get some help here.
Normally I don't care about waiting for a card in the mail, but I have a trip on Wednesday and was hoping to use this card. But, if not, it's not the end of the world.
App'd last night at about 21:00 - Instant approval for 9k.
Called today at 14:00 asking for the card to be expedited. They said it was still pending. Which is fine, I know that I was approved and it takes them some time.
She said to call back on Monday or Tuesday and ask them to Expedite it then.
So here are my few timeline questions.
1.) In your experience, when has the application been finalized? and is there a way for me to know so I can call in and not risk missing a day that it could have been sent?
2.) I know in the T&C it says allow 6-8 weeks for inital free night to be credited. But I did read here that most people say it only takes about 48 hours. Is that your experience as well?
Well I guess I only have 2 questions... Thanks in advance!

You will have the comp when the card is activated.

Well then. I guess it's gonna come down to the wire!
Thanks
You wont have the card by Wednesday. Plus if you dont already have a marriot account, it can take up to 3 weeks to get the card. Speaking from experience, i'm sure other know what i'm talking about too. Marriott is slow with stuff.

I had mine in hand within 6 or 7 days of approval with a lot of pestering of the CSP line.
This is a lengthy process, that can take up to 14 days or in my case 3 weeks. They have to link your card to your marriot rewards account and that alone takes about week.
Good luck
I already have a MR account so I'm not worried about that. I guess I will just let it play out and see. Either way, it's not life or death, just would be nice to have!
The initial free night showed up in my account before i got the card.
Just watch your chase online account closely. As soon as you see it show up there call up customer service and ask them to send it out overnight. Chase has their mail picked up about 7PM EST but they'll stop taking in mail prior to that. Ideally you'll want to call up no later than 4PM EST to make sure the card gets shipped out that day and is at you by the next day. Be aware, chase ships all expedited cards (other than saturday delivery ) by UPS Overnight Air Saver. This means they're not guaranteed by 10AM like regular overnight UPS is.
