I'm curious as to what Cap one is looking for. I'm not going to sweat it. They'll do as they please regardless.
Sorry for your troubles OP.
Spend that's vaguely indicative of the need for a $30k+ CL?
It has to be more to in than that. Plenty of us here with similar limits and no CLD as of yet. I'm looking for something else in the equation. If you're only reporting $100 a month across all your accounts, just an example. I'm sure most let more than that report.. I hope. Lol
I use mine for less than CC did. So by what you've said I should have been CLD'd long ago.
I'm generally against looking for patterns in the data posted here, there are way too many variables and you never will know if you are right!
But FWIW, I spent at most a few hundred $s on the CLD card a year, another with $20K and no spend is still left untouched. I am not into total micromanaging so several of my cards would report with a balance, but an overall utilization of less than 1%
But they indicated the issue was that it wasn't been used very heavily. And I don't know why more banks aren't like that!

Gotcha, probably because they feel people will spend more on their higher limit CCs. That's generally true for my household. Our higher limit/ better rewards cards do receive majority of the monthly spend. With Cap One being the exception. All they have to do is bump it to 2% cash back and the spend would increase dramatically.

Sorry that this happened to your wife.
hahah, LOL Irish! poor LTL and CC
Oh to watch Capital One evolve. Not too long ago none of us like Cap1 because they never gave out CLI's. They changed that and now are doing CLD's, wow! So sorry morgj

What would make Cap1 better than Citi or FNBO for no-AF 2% cards?
Also has their customer service improved? Or reps are still frequently incompetent, and the pain of that was just numbed by bonuses and big CLs?
And I'm usually doubtful of our efforts to figure out issuer logic...but LTL I think is in the 840-850 area, so the list of potential CLD triggers is probably quite short.
I don't think it's just high starting credit limits to average profiles, good credit gets those limits too and many use it very little. It certainly makes sense regards to them.. If you're not using it, and get CLD it doesn't seem like it's a big deal.

Because Capitol one like USAA and Navy Federal post their rewards after transactions and not at redemption set limits.
I haven't been in the forums long compared to many here. One thing I've learned, scores aren't the end all be all of gaining or keeping credit.
I rarely deal with any of these CCs customer service.
FNBO is woefully slow at posting transactions or disputing fraudulent transactions. Those are the two things that aggravate me most about them..they sure have great customer service though.
I'm someone that enjoys looking for the cracks in the armor. I may never figure them out completely ..I've done a fair job of it so far with the help of other members here who aren't afraid to test the waters.
Sorry to hear Morgac!
So does it seem they're only going after people who app-ed for 2-3-or 4 CO cards just to get the high limits when they were being given out (like Venture) and then combined them to have one huge CL on their reports to use as a stepping stone to higher limits on future apps with other lenders but their CO card has seen little to no spend? I haven't seen where anyone who was given a high SL on ONE individual CO card right out of the gate received AA on that card as of yet--unless it's posted on another thread..
