Hi, I was wondering if there was a credit limit requirement to receive a MasterCard World Elite card? I know to receive a Visa Signature card, you need to be approved for a limit of at least $5,000. Is there a similar required limit to get World Elite status? If there is and I'm approved for a limit that's less, will I just receive a general MasterCard?

Those limits are no longer enforced by most issuers. You will see people with Visa sigs lower than $5k and World Elite MasterCards for small limits, lowest here was $600 on a Cap One card
That's what they say, I couldn't really tell you for sure if it's a "real" Visa signature or World Elite mastercard. Both my siggy and world elite have CL over 5K. One way to find out is when you do get the card try out the concierge service and see but I'm not sure how they would be able to tell if you have a quilified card or not unless they ask you for the numbers.
I think both are overrated in their 'value'. Seems more like marketing to me

Must i always be reminded of that SD'ed icescraper ![]()
I have a WEMC from citi for 2.5k and a regular world from Barclay for 2.5k. Also as far as chase is concerned u have to open a siggy account with them for 5k after that u can move their cls around and lower a siggy as low as 1k so like I have a CSP with a 2.5k line on it now, originally 5k.
I have the Arrival + WEMC, just got to today and the initial CL is 1.5k
Barclay issues a World Elite at $200 with Hawaiian Airlines and Arrival+, there is no CL requirement for WE. It is now widely available in preparation for the next big thing.

I kind of agree. no way to tell for sure. As my Diners club says world mastercard but not elite. it has 5k . but i also have a quicksilver. it also says world on it. mastercard that i pced from qs1. but i only have a 3500 limit on it. so i don't know how it is world. anyway. i don't really care. as those limits on all cards combined are outstanding.
