Max Amex CL ?

Does anyone know what Amex's max combined CL is w/o add'l verification ? I've read some places its $20k, also heard $25k and $30k.  A recentl CLI put me over the $20k mark on two combined revolvers not including my Plat NPSL.

So I could get up to $50k total CL from Amex before add'l doc, correct ?

additional docs can be required at any CLI that they deem you need a financial review at... could be 1000 could be 100000.. from an increase perspective a soft pull is up to 25k

True f/r can come at any time, even without even requesting a cli. But after 25k, the automated system doesn't give decision. Goes through some additional level of decision making.

There will be a breaking point but it's going to depend on a lot of factors.  As noted the auto CLI stops at 25k per card.  But that's not to say you can just go get 4 cards at 25k.  If you have the income and show a pattern over the years of running a ton through them it may go through.  But if you've been a low spender they may want docs after the first or second card.  It's really hard to tell anything with Amex.
