Max Util allowed for a CLI?

Who is the creditor that is generous enough to give a CLI when your overall Util is over 40%?

What is the maximum Util that you have had and still received a CLI from a creditor?

I received a 2X CLI on my AMEX and the UTI was 75% of $2K.

Re: Max Util allowed for a CLI?

They don't auto CLI after 90 days on a whimb. They don't do many auto CLIs.

Also, if you're at 40% I wouldn't have too high of hopes for a CLI. It appears to the lender (not saying this is the truth) that you're relying on credit to live. If it's always high utilization I doubt you'll get a CLI but if it's very rare I wouldn't worry much.

Re: Max Util allowed for a CLI?

In my experience, Discover.

Overall was over 40% and util on their card was 93%.

They gave me auto, I did not ask. This was in the Fall.

They've given me increases with high util many times before that as well, in fact that's the only time they seem to do it for me. All auto, I have never requested an increase.
