The maximum number of cards you can have with HSBC is (8). I figured this out because I currently have 8 with them and was preapproved for another but was told I have the max # of accounts with HSBC. Just thought I'd let people know that. I only have one card actually issued through HSBC Bank the rest (7) are Co-Branded.
Hey just curious since I also now have multiple HSBC cards (2 of the same card) but do you find you still have good luck with CLI's for each card having so many? Wondering if HSBC sees it more as one pool of credit they're providing you or more-or-less separate pieces of credit based on their individual usage and payment history.
No CLI's for any actually. Guess I'll continue to buy a snickers and sock draw them during college since they have a $0 AF and hope they'll grant something in the future. My scores aren't the greatest so I'm just happy they've extended me credit.

The number of accounts allowed varies by user. I've seen people get denied for only have one. That being said, having one HSBC card is too many imo.

I had 2 and closed 1 so I've had the card since '03.
The interest rate is like 29%. No fee (why I keep).
I've gotten 2 clis in 7 years with hard inquirys. They
are wicked.
