I opened my first CC when I finished with HS. It was a Chase Sony visa with a $500 limit. I have changed it to a chase freedom plus and is up to 6K.
Are you a Wheel of Fortune Fan? You could win $10k with that card.

USBank Student VISA $500 limit in 2004, just after finishing my freshman year of college. I didn't want anything to do with CCs (didn't trust them) but my mom made me get it and told me to charge something on it every 6 months and then PIF. I did that religiously, then found the forums - got second card May 2008 and now I've got 8 cards total!
That's outstanding Pez. You have awesome scores too! Your mom gave you good advice. And you took that advice and flourished with it. Good job!!
I am in my freshman year in college and I got my first credit card this year back in July. It's a student Visa card from Suncoast Schools FCU. Limit: $500. I have been approved for 4 others card within the last few months; Kay Jewelers, Jared Jewelers, Citi Platinum Select for College Students, and a GTE FCU U-22 MasterCard has been approved, but it's still pending employment verification.
