Military Deferred Payment Plan

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have had the Deferred Payment Plan (DPP) since I have been in the military. Of course at the lower ranks, I always kept it up to the maximum allowed, whatever limit they would give me. As I got up in rank, they gave me up to $5000 in credit and I charged it up to there! Well, since I am deployed right now, I decided to pay most of it off. I paid it down to $900. My credit score has jumped 15+ points in the month afterwards! People have always told me the reason I couldnt get to 700 was because of revolving credit, or these cards. It appears all that hot air Tuscani puts out on this board may have some truth to it! I have two other cards and I keep the limit at $500 for both and they both have about $10 of charges on them. My scores are 679, 660, 648....Nothing else bad, just some paid late accounts several years ago..Always good enough to get what I wanted, albeit with slightly higher interest rates. I look forward to the rest of this tour (4 months) and what my scores look like when I get back to the world!

Yes, thank you for what you do.  Don't know where you are but I'm sure it's not the most desirable place hence the "getting back to the world" comment.Smiley Wink

Re: Military Deferred Payment Plan

Actually Brammy,

There are more rocks here in afghanistan than Iraq could ever hope to have!

On a credit note: I noticed that Bank Of America has actually increased my limit on it's credit card from $500 to $1500. I think that may have helped as well.

Thanks to all who are wishing me and my military battlebuddy's well, you dont know how much it means to hear that....
