Apped for both side by side, seconds apart
Chase Southwest Visa Signature - Instant Approval for 12k after 15 seconds
- Can I use this HP for a CLI on my Freedom? I want to try before moving some of my credit line.
Bank of America Travel Rewards - Instant Approval for 3k after 60 seconds
- How are they with CLI upon approval? Additional HP? SP? Are they SP CLI in general?
- Which backdoor number? Should I call recon? New apps? Credit analyst? EO?
Sidenote: 3k is a measly limit lol I wanted 5k!

- How are they with CLI upon approval? Additional HP? SP? Are they SP CLI in general? Pretty good. People have been able to call and recon the approval amount by speaking with the underwriter. If you recon the approval amount with an underwriter it should be the same HP. If you just use the luv button it will be a HP. Sometimes it is possible to do a SP CLI, but you must call in to get it.

Probably

Congrats on your approvals! Good luck with your endeavors with BoA, as well.
congrats
Congrats!
Well Chase said it would be a HP. So I declined. Contemplating calling the EO since they were able to manual review with the same pull with my Freedom.
The BOA I bit the bullet and took another HP for a CLI request. I called the EO and she tranferred me to card services (presumably still within EO) and said it would be TU. I said yes because it only has one inquiry and had one to burn on there. Said it would take three business days to hear back from them..was to be submitted to the credit card department. Not sure if I can call and check the status? They asked me how much, and I said to match my AMEX at 16.6k.
What are my chances?? And can i recon this if denied, given that it's already going to an underwriter (I think)?
I have a derog with BOA falling off in December. Account got closed for non payment, but I paid if off and it never went to collections. So I didn't burn them. Should this come into play?

Chase will always be a HP. You can certainly try with the EO but I like to reserve those calls for exceptional requests - not for asking for something against policy.
As as far as BoA is concerned, that's tricky. They may hold your past account against you. The good news is that it will be dropping off soon and they are generous with CLI's in case you have to wait.
Eitherway, good luck?
Thanks Lexie. I bit the bullet with BOA and took another hard pull. They said it would be TU, and I accepted because it is my cleanest report as far as inquiries go (only 1).. Fingers crossed..they already pulled it but I havent seen any change in the credit line yet...it's a new account so I'm trying to be patient. Can this be reconned given that it's submitted to the credit card department (underwriting I presume)?
