Just did a mini app spree and got approved for capital one $300.00.
Applied for amazon store card got the message to wait probably it will get declined.
Also Applied for Best Buy think they declined me too which is weird have had orchard for 6 months pay in full no lates.
Oh well I am excited to finally get capital one unsecured.
Any tips?? I am so excited !!!! Woohoo So far I have
First premier $300.00
Jareds and Kays Shared Credit line $500.00
Orchard Bank $320.00
Capital one $300.00
I hate first premier but it's my oldest positive tradeline.
At this point, you can close First Premier, since you have Capital One now.
Congrats on the new CL!

IMO Closing FP is a good move even if it is your oldest tradeline. You will retain all of the age of that account for about the next ten years. Here's fused's helpful post on closing credit cards. Your Orchard Bank and Cap One cards will serve you well - you've built your credit beyond the need for FP (and their fees.)
If you are carrying balances, be sure your utilization is in line and then close it if you would like. Oldest tradelines can be closed when they no longer serve their purposes and will report for an additional ten years, benefiting your AAofA during that entire time.
Wow Beam me Up thank you so mucH! I will close it before the AF hits. Also how do you go in the credit steps program?
They will send you a letter about the credit steps. Look for it in the mail. I got my credit steps letter a few weeks after the card was opened. It will say credit steps on the letter. You can also call the back door number and speak to a supervisor and they can tell you.
Also I agree dump first premier. You can always try and get another co card if you like in a few months. They have sony card, mtv card, and orbitz as well.
Congrats! I hate FP, too. I like my Cap1 card soooooo much better!
The best tip that I can think of to give you is to use the card often and make absolutely certain that you stay well under your CL. With a $300 CL, that can be tricky. It can be managed if you PIF several times a month. Their website makes viewing and paying your bills easy, and you can even opt to receive messages. For instance, you can be notified if it's getting close to time to pay your bill if you haven't done so already, or you can be notified if your balance has crossed a certain threshold. If you pay frequently and they suddenly freeze your payment, it's because the account is new and they're not yet accustomed to your usage pattern. This happened to me, but a call to the backdoor number listed on the sticky resolved that problem on the spot. Since then, I've been able to pay as often as I want without any problems. You're almost certain to be enrolled in Credit Steps, so if you use the card, are never late and stay under your CL, you'll be automatically granted a CLI in a few short months.
Good luck, and best wishes to you!
Was just gonna ask you about the Amazon Card status.
