Mini app Spree

Hi Guys,
I just checked myFICO score 5 minutes ago for EQUIFAX and came back with a 742! suprised me. one question I have: Is the Transunion score obtainable with the free trial i just got or is it a seperate purchase?

Back to the topic I plan to app for a couple of cash back credit cards. my dream card is the Amex BCE and following that I cant decide between the Chase Freedom or the CITI Dividend cards. they both offer the sign up offer of spending $500 in the first three months to get $100 cash back. what do Y'all suggest? and do you think I would be approved for them?

Credit Profile:
Age: 20
Full time student, part time employee: $10,149 annual income.

Three open accounts:
Ge/Autocare Store Card: $1500 (March 2011)
Golden One Student Visa $1000 (August 2011)
Citi Student Foward $1300 (February 2012)

AAOA--1 year 7 months

Experian inquiries 5 total, most recent nov. 2012 others are over a year old.
Equifax inquiries 3 total.

Perfect payment history, no negative reports whatsoever.

Utilization 3% on one card other two have no balance.

Fico score from EQ---> 742

Any advice would be appreciated

Re: Mini app Spree

I think you will be approved for all of the cards you listed. So it's up to you on which cards you want.

Don't go on a crazy spree though, you might get into FR trouble because your income is considered low and your file is also pretty thin.

best of luck!

Re: Mini app Spree

You should be fine with Chase and you already have a history with Citi so I don't see a problem there either.

Good luck!

Re: Mini app Spree

With the responses Im Leaning towards the freedom card. Since I have a good history with citi it would be nice to start one with chase. The thing I like about citi products is the citi cli via SP online. Does anyone know is chase does the same?

Re: Mini app Spree

One card I forgot to list is the US bank cash+. Is this card only availible in the VISA signature version? From my understanding they start the cl's at $5,000, and I don't have a tradeline even close to that. Is this card obtainable for me??

Re: Mini app Spree

Grubs, my income is slightly higher then yours. To be honest, I don't think you will be approved for it. I was reading in a topic here on the forums that 2 of the requirements include having a 720+ along with an income of 30k+. But you should be okay for the other cards (don't go for the dividend, It's not that great of a card from what I hear.) The Freedom is on my list of cards to apply for and the BCE. But good luck on apping for those cards and may you be approved!

Bank of America: Cash Rewards.- 4.2k. 4/25/12 (CLI Increase 6/15/13, CLI May of 2015, sept 2015), Citi: Forward- 4.5k. 10/27/12 (CLI on 2/8/14, SP, CLI on 9/26/15 sp). Re: Mini app Spree

Thanks bluesnowman! I kind of figured that but oh well the chase freedom should be fine. I'm just gonna try and dig up some old sign up offer links to try and get the best deal for both cards.

Re: Mini app Spree

because of your income, there is a good chance that most banks will start you out with toy limits.

As for Chase, you need to know that their cards do not grow with you. There's a chance of auto CLI, but it's rare and unpredictable.

So if you need to be prepared to sacrifice another HP in the future to get your limits raised for Chase.

As for US Bank Cash+, I would recommend you apply for this later when you have higher limits on other cards and also a higher income.
