Minimum Spend Requirements

Hello everybody.

I was recently approved for CSP and I'm so excited to use it and get the 50k points. However, I have a question that might seem dumb to some of you experience credit card holds so I would like to apologize in advance. My understanding for this card is that I have to spend 4k in 3 months. My question is, Can I spend 4k in the first month and pay it off before my statement closes. In doing that will I still get my 50k points? Or will I have to wait until my statement closes and reports that I owe 4k to get my points? I hope what I'm saying makes sense. Again, any helpful feedback will be appreciated.

Yes you can spend the 4K and payoff and receive your bonus in the first month. I haven’t read any Chase stipulation that requires for it to be paid after the statement cuts.

No. I've met the CFU threshold and paid it 5 days after the card arrived.

Your bonus will be posted when statement cuts though.

Side note:
Depending on your credit limit. It might be advisable to pay a couple mid cycle payments if you plan to spend the 4K in the first month.

Chase is known to get spooked if you suddenly max out the card in the first month. If you have a credit limit on the low to mid end. Atleast one mid cycle payment when you reach around 2K would probably help any chase review of your account.

This isn’t a required step in order to get the points. Chase will enter the points within 1-2 days of you reaching 4K spend and the points will be pending until your next statement closes.

I'll third this.  I've had numerous spend bonuses met with a single charge with Chase and other lenders.  And yes, the bonus will post on your first statement.
