Anyone here have this card? Is it worth getting? I have a feeling I know the answer just wanted to hear some feedback.. And yes I'm a slot player
I know the old conventional advice was to get the Hyatt card because it offered more overall value than the Mlife card. But I think crossover benefits are now limited to Hyatt's higher tiers (beyond what the Hyatt cards give).
So ignore any old articles or threads that suggest Hyatt as an alternative.
From what I understand, it's pretty lackluster and the application process can be like pulling teeth. That being said, I haven't seen better alternatives for Vegas, which is something I would be interested in as we go there fairly often.
I asked that same question last year and most of the suggestions were the Hyatt card. I got the Hyatt card and really the only thing that I was able to take advantage of was the bonus points after the initial spend which gave me some free nights, and the pearl tier which was free parking and skipping the buffet line. A few months ago while I was in Vegas at the MGM Grand I was told that I had an offer for the Mlife card so I applied at the desk and was instantly approved with a $15000 SL and they printed my card right there. The one thing that I did notice was the instant rewards on my Mlife casino card whenever I use the credit card. To me this made the Mlife card more worth having as I was able to use the points immediately for free play, restaurants, and the gift shops.
Had it actually cancelled it this last weekend... Didn't really bring me much value although i pretty much have a ton of CC's and had better options. At the time the hyatt was hands down, now i am not quite sure anymore either. Rewards IMO were subpar to most prime grade CC's being CSR, etc. Spend it going other where than casinos currently as well

My understanding is you start off in the “Pearl” tier with this card but it seems the Hyatt crossover benefits isn’t offered unless you’re rolling in the “Noir” tier?
Hyatt has 4/5 tiers:
Member (automatic)
Discoverist (roughly equal to the old Hyatt Platinum)
Explorist (roughly equal to the old Hyatt Diamond)
Globalist (the best most people can attain)
Concierge (Hyatt VIPs and some people who book on behalf of groups...the exact qualifications are fuzzy)
In Feb 2017, Hyatt Gold Passport became World of Hyatt. The old Platinum roughly translated to the new Discoverist, but one change was that while Hyatt Platinum gave Mlife Gold, Discoverist only gives Mlife Pearl.
The point being...prior to Feb 2017, having a Hyatt credit card would allow you to request Mlife Gold (it wasn't automatic). After Feb 2017, it only gives Mlife Pearl.
*Also, Hyatt Diamond used to give Mlife Platinum. Now even Globalist only gives Mlife Gold.

I'm happy with it. I stay at MGM properties when in Vegas and I seem to get better promo emails with the card, regarding free rooms and comps. They offer me free concert tickets too (recently Metallica) that are targeted towards card holders.
Barclaycard Rewards: ($5000) , Capital One QuickSilverOne ($7250), Capital One Secured ($750), Discover It ($3000), PayPal Extras ($3000), Lowes ($6000), Marvel ($5000), Target ($5000), GM Buypower ($1300), Kohls ($2000), Walmart ($1450), Mobil ($1000), Chevron ($850), Valero ($300), Emblem Card ($250)
Good to know thanks for the feedback!
