So far luv buttons are a no go for me. Same with autolady on VS. But.....considering what my credit file looks like as I work to clean it up, the fact that they even extended me credit is luv enough for now. Maybe after a few payment cycles they will give me some warm and fuzzies when I ask!

I've had my VS just over 6 weeks now and have charged and paid and charged and paid, but no increase. I here that VS can take up to 9 months to show luv. I keep plugging away though! Some of Comenity cards extend increases in 31 days. Oh well!
That's what I heard too. I think I got all the community cards that make that long. None have given me cli's yet lol

I haven't tried yet but no one has addressed my question about the denial reason: "You (meaning me) need to establish a proven payment record." Considering I've had them for a yr now with purchases and PIF except once on EB, I do not understand the denial reason - especially since I have already recv'd several CLIs.

VS and EX used to be you had to wait 9 months or so to get a CLI. I dont have those cards. I do have J crew card. Opened a year ago with a $500.00 CL, immediately raised to $800.00. Now its at $18,000.00. I use the card once a month. If I added all my spend on that card from the past year i have spent a couple thousand.
YESSSSSSS18,000 J. Crew!!!!!! I now see even more potential with J. crew. WTG! Thanks for sharing!
Holy toledo...my limit is 2,400 and I thought that was high. Maybe I should just try hitting the J Crew luv button again but I'm not sure if they hold it against me every time I get one of those CLI denial letters. ![]()

You may just need to purchase something once a month and pay in full, or if they offer 0% financing option, buy an item that qualifies and pay it in equal installments. Seems like a lot of hooplah to go through for a CLI on cards hardly used by your own admission. I am sure you understand that not everyone will have the same results.
I went on a LUV Button frenzy this weekend, and with the exception of maybe 3 cards I had success to the tune of a total of $5690 over 13 different cards (don't judge). Most of them were in $300 increments, and some were for cards I'd never used (e.g., Eddie Baur, J. Crew). I also got a $500 CLI on my Marathon card. I'm hoping to get my overall utilization below 29% so that I can consolidate my credit cards into one low interest/low payment loan and refinance my home into a lower interest rate so I can afford to pay back student loans.
I just wish that the new CLs would post immediately. I have been paying down and paying off bills since the beginning of the year have made significant progress. It would be nice if the new credit limits would show up sooner rather than later.

Congrats to you for the CLI's!!!!!!!,
I hate when you have to wait for the CLI to rpt to the CB! I'm new to Comenity and I'm not sure that if you have a zero bal. they will even cut a statement, so I go in and make a very very small purchase to ensure that a statement will be cut. I got an CLI at Overstock and bought a hair product that I was about out of. turns out, it was cheaper to purchase the product at Overstock then at Target or Walmart by a few $. Win win situation. Now if you have many accounts, it may not work as well, a lot of spending to get the CLI to report. I have read that statements are not generated if there is no activity/bal.
When referencing Comenity, I think it's wise to make a small purchase if you have a zero balance when you receive a CLI. Can't speak for other card issuers, but I have tried it both ways with Comenity store cards and Comenity Visa and Mastercards - and the CLI didn't report in my case when it had zero balance, but it did when I had a balance of a few dollars. YMMV. Hope this helps someone.
