Sort out your needs/wants. Use that to select cards that suit you. Don't rely on "prestige".

I think in terms of rewards, I think the best I can do is 1% since I primarily shop at Wal-Mart, and for some reason Discover IT doesn't apply at Wal-Mart...so probably safe to assume other cards are the same way..
Why 1%? There are a number of cards that offer a flat 1.5% or 2% on all purchases.

That's the answer we all have been waiting for... How easy was that...

"At least, I think thats what you mean by Prestigious, basically good cards that are worth obtaining and keeping for as long as the cards aren't nerfed."
And, as motoleo put it, it's just the "same couple of flagship cards. Amex Blue Cash, the Venture, Citi Double Cash"
I think this card that I wasn't aware of, was the BarClay card...which has piqued my interest..and too bad Sallie Mae doesn't issue Credit Cards anymore...

If you use walmart.com there are cards that give a good cash back on the online site. For example savingstar.com gives 5% cash back when you use their online shopping portal, and walmart.com is in that portal. Sure its usually only 1%, but that means you get 5% + 1% cash back when you use savingstar credit card through the savingstar.com portal to access walmart.com
And as was previously stated, there are cards that give 2% cash back on all purchases, and one that gives almost 3% ( JCB Marukai) but that one is restricted to only a few western states. And the Bank of America Better Balance Rewards is good for a free $25 every 3 months with minimal monthly usage (just throw a small monthly bill on that card if you want to make it real easy).
You did notice the new Blispay card, right? Thats a new 2% on all purchases card. I think someone may have mentioned it in another post...
I'll have to check out a few of those 2%-3% cards...
Also, I'm not at the point where I do my grocery shopping online.... ![]()

Its great when you're buying non-perishable foods ![]()
Think I found what I am looking for...
Does anyone know about this card or is it like a Credit One in disguise?
2% Cashback with no silly categories. Any purchase over $200 can be paid off whenever you feel like it with 0% APR for six months. https://blispay.com/faq/
If I were rich, I would have the Palladium just because it's very cool. Way cooler than the Amex Black.

When I look at credit card reviews, it's all really the same couple of flagship cards. Amex Blue Cash, the Venture, Citi Double Cash. I mean we know about all of these already. And how many cash back cards do you really need? Once you have one I start looking for something with travel rewards maybe, something different.
But from all of the companies I just go to their sites and use their drop down which card is best for you, I really don't see a whole lot of cards.
Motoleo, i could not agree more. I am fairly new to credit world only because could not get any till now. Wanted to do couple apps last friday night, and kept looking at the boards, online, everywhere, and what i found and liked, i knew i would not get approved, and what i could get approved, i already have it.
