So I have a CSP set to incure an annual fee on April 2nd.
I simply planed to move the limit from my CSP to my freedom to avoid the AF.
I read online that any current chase freedom card holder can switch to the chase freedom unlimited but can a current CSP member switch to the chase freedom unlimited? The goal is to avoid the AF on the CSP.
Thanks!

I'm sure you can but it doesn't make sense to do so. Without the CSP or Ink Plus to pair with the FU, it's a straight 1.5% cash back card and there are better cashback cards out there that earn 2%.

Well, yes, but if OP cannot justify the CSP's AF, not much point in paying it.
Do you use the transfer partners on CSP, OP? Do you travel much?
If you are really against paying the AF I would either PC to the Freedom Unlimited or just close it/move the limit. Irish is right -- FU isn't the best choice for cash back overall -- but if you want to keep the tradeline with no AF, I'd think it's better than downgrading to the plain Sapphire (2% dining only, 1% elsewhere).
Thanks for the tips.
Well my dining is covered by my navy federal card @ 3% and no AF.
Gas and groceries is covered by Sallie Mae.
Everything else goes on my Cap One QS. So the unlimited card would basically be the same thing :/
What other products could I convert my CSP too?
I dont travel too oftern. I am looking at the SPG with the 35k bonus. I read somewhere is a 2.5% general spend card? How is this?
Also could I split my limit from my BCE? Im at 25k on my BCE so would my limit on the hotel card be really small due to exposure?
Thanks!

If you don't travel, then you don't want/need the SPG card. It is not a 2.5% general spend card.

Make sure you look into all of the details. The SPG is certainly NOT a straight 2.5% card.
If you travel and use Starwood properties and/or their transfer partners, then yes, it's possible to get a 2.5% value. However, if you are not much of a traveler, obtaining this value is highly unlikely, and you're better off sticking with cash back.
CSP is probably only going to be able to be switched to a Freedom Unlimited, Sapphire, Slate (no rewards) or maybe the 5% rotating Freedom but I'm not sure exactly. You can always call Chase and see which options appear on your specific account because it can very.
I PCed my freedom to ulimited...am still waiting for the card to come.
Ugh I wish this would of happened before I got my QS a year ago.
I dont need 2 1.5% cards. I guess ill just move my limit from my CSP to my regular freedom.
Downgrade your CSP to a regular Chase Sapphire. It may not be a cake walk to get the CS upgraded to a CSP later on in life if you need to, but yeah.
You could always take all but $500 away from the CSP and close it. Just be really really sure thatt you have no need whatsoever to book flights or hotels with any of the UR partners..... The freedom that you have now if you did max out the 6k categories and had plenty of general spend to spare, and you also flew a few times a year or at least stayed in a hotel, it would make sense to keep.
But if you want cash back, the 1.5% quicksilver does not make sense with a FU, you should really have some more 6%, 5%, 3%, and 2% cash back categories going if you spend quite a bit. (see link in sig)
And as always, if you are not getting any major loans any time soon, I would go apply for 2 Bank of America Cash Rewards baseball cards that have $200 free after $500 spend, and also apply for a Better Balance Rewards. Thats $500 free your first year (or 560 if you threw $300 in a boa savings account to earn 10% more rewards). Then you can move limits or keep the cards as they have no annual fee. 2 cards easy,3 cards maybe even too. All for 1 inquiry! (some folks have even got 3 of the $200 cash rewards cards by applying the same day) https://www.applyonlinenow.com/USCCapp/Ctl/entry?sc=VACMND#b
