Received a USPS letter that said they thought it was a duplicate application.

They also said to mail them a letter if they thought the second applcation was not a mistake, which is what I did.

I'll see what happens if they respond.

Please make sure to come back and update the thread Monoglot. Thanks in advance!

The BBR offers some good easy passive income.

I opened a savings account, and then dropped the checking account, since the checking account requires $1500 to waive the monthly fee, but the savings account only requires $300.

I've had the BBR for just under a year and have been considering opening a second one to earn the additional quarterly bonus.

UPDATE:

So as I said, I mailed them a letter stating the 2nd application was not a mistake.

Yesterday, my brother logged into his BOA account and a 2nd BBR was there! Now he has a second BBR with 14.9k CL (1st one 15k CL).

Yay for free money!

That's awesome!

Do you know if they did an additional HP, or were they able to use the one from the first approval?

Re: Multiple Better Balance Rewards without a PC?

I was feeling gutsy yesterday and applied for 3 BBRs. No former banking relationship with BoA.

Instantly approved for 2 with SLs of $8,000 each and the 3rd is currently in review. I am sure it will be declined as they assume it was a mistake on my part. I will probably try what Monoglot tried above to see if I can get the 3rd approved too.

Definitely opening up a BoA savings account for the bonuses. Probably going to make it a joint account with my wife and have her apply for a few BBRs too. Ha.

Oh and only one HP.

Main Cards: CSR(30k), DiscoverIT(50k), Freedom(10.5k), Ink+(17k), SallieMae(17.5k), 3x BoA MLB(24k), 2x BoA BBR(16k) and probably too many other cards at this point...

I'm happy to say that they used the same hard pull from the first card (only 1 HP).

Congrats on your approvals! If you feel your credit profile supports another BBR, then go for it. Best of luck!

Monoglot - how long did it take from the time you sent the letter to the new BBR showing up in their account?  I received the same letter stating how they thought it was a duplicate request and to send them a letter saying otherwise, so I did.  Just playing the waiting game.  Still holding out hope that I can get a 3rd BBR from only one EX HP.

Main Cards: CSR(30k), DiscoverIT(50k), Freedom(10.5k), Ink+(17k), SallieMae(17.5k), 3x BoA MLB(24k), 2x BoA BBR(16k) and probably too many other cards at this point...
